In a podcast, Dricus Du Plessis shared why he didn't fight Israel Adesanya at UFC 300. He said, "Why would I start training when I'm injured if I'm the champion? As the champion, I can fight when I'm ready. I think Izzy still sees himself as a champion, but he's not. He'll fight when the opportunity comes. He doesn't dictate when I fight."
